So, over the next two months, Univer Vídeo will bring audiences two releases: season 12 of Reis and the series Neemias.

Both series will be familiar to viewers, with previously seen and known characters revealing new sides of their stories.

## **Season 12 of Reis**

After Roboão’s death, season 12 of Reis, entitled ‘A Emboscada’, will continue Judah’s royal lineage with the new king Abias.

Known for his fragility and vulnerability, Abias was always protected by his mother Maaca, who did everything for him. But in season 12, he will have to lead his household and Judah’s people.

## **Idolatry in Reis**

After Salomão’s death, the city of Judah was never the same. The people forgot God and idolatry became commonplace. If you expect Israel’s new king to change this in season 12, the official teaser makes clear he will not.

Abias will continue following his father’s footsteps, including hardness of heart and sin.

Deaths, wars, and betrayals will also feature. Maaca will not rest, seeking every means to eliminate Judah’s Levites.

## **Who was Nehemiah?**

Nehemiah lived in the post-exilic period, after the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity. The Babylonian Empire had conquered Jerusalem, destroyed the Temple, and exiled many Jews.

Years later, the Persian Empire, led by Cyrus, conquered Babylon and allowed the Jews to return to their homeland.

But because Jerusalem was abandoned and dangerous to live in at the time, many Jews remained in Persia, and Nehemiah served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes I of Persia.

In Neemias, he will learn of Jerusalem’s deplorable condition through a report describing the city without walls and vulnerable to attack.

Deeply shaken, Nehemiah prayed to God and decided to act. He asked for and obtained King Artaxerxes’s permission to return and lead the rebuilding of the city’s walls.

The series will show that rebuilding is not easy: local enemies rise to interrupt the work and threaten him. But the young man remains firm in his purpose, encouraging the people to continue.

Despite the difficulties shown in Neemias, the walls will be completed in just 52 days, a remarkable achievement restoring Jerusalem’s security and dignity. Neemias premieres early only on Univer Vídeo, in September.

## **The series Neemias**

The *spin-off* of A Rainha da Pérsia will maintain the same exclusives the previous series offered subscribers.

Besides early viewing on Univer Vídeo, you will have the freedom to watch Neemias whenever and wherever you want, without commercial breaks. [**Click here**](www.univervideo.com) to learn more.
