Somewhat controversial and with no mention of her name, there is only one biblical record concerning Job's wife: *"Then his wife said to him: Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die."*

> "What did she mean by that advice to Job? What was her intention? Did she really want Job to do that, or could she no longer bear to see him suffer? Did she believe in God?"

Questions, questions and more questions that a single line can raise. But here is another: do you think an upright, blameless, God-fearing man who shunned evil would marry someone so… foolish?

Since every character needs a name, in "A Vida de Jó" the choice was **Rachel**. Our Job belongs to Abraham's descendants (Genesis 46:13), and we know the patriarch had a preference when it came to marriage:

> "but you shall go to my country and my relatives, and take a wife from there for my son Isaac." Genesis 24:4

And with her it was no different. Played in youth by Mah Duarte and in adulthood by Juliana Didone, Rachel is the daughter of Joseph and Asenath, and one thing we can guarantee: she will surprise you...

> "Rachel carries deep insecurity about herself, but disguises everything behind the mask of a spoiled girl."

Full of layers, it will be through conflicts that we see each revealed—and when it comes to Job's family, there will be no shortage of those! Writer Cristiane Cardoso has already revealed a little of what we can expect, but for more, only “in person”: A Vida de Jó premieres August 15, only on Univer Vídeo.
