Campeão is a drama that dives deep into the turbulent waters of a dysfunctional family, offering a moving and inspiring view of human resilience in the face of adversity. The film is based on the true story of Tony Fingleton, a talented swimmer who swims against the currents of a troubled family life to achieve success in competitive swimming. Set in Brisbane in the 1950s and 1960s, Campeão tells the story of Tony, who grows up in a family where love and support are scarce, replaced by the harshness and emotional abuse of his alcoholic father, Harold. Tony's mother, Dora, although loving, is often unable to protect her children from her violent husband. Amid this environment, Tony finds in swimming not just a refuge but a way to prove his worth. The film stands out for its ability to balance moments of despair and hope, illustrating how Tony's determination to overcome his personal obstacles is a struggle against his circumstances. His journey is portrayed with raw sincerity, capturing the essence of the human struggle against adversity. Campeão is a tribute to the ability to overcome difficulties and accomplish great things, even when circumstances are against you. It is a story of courage, family conflict and, above all, the redemptive journey of a young man swimming against life's adverse currents to achieve his dreams. ### Photos from the film Campeão ![MV5BMTQyMjIzNTY0OV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNDgyMTM3NA@@._V1_.jpg](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-61a7d5c5208de4e9.jpg) [View related content](https://app.univervideo.com/#/search/mediadetail?mediaId=0a4bd13b-917e-4081-9bcf-ed85c710b04b&mediaType=Title&contentLocation=search) ![MV5BMTg0MjkwOTQ1NV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjgyMTM3NA@@._V1_.jpg](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-dbe2345bbb967703.jpg) [View related content](https://app.univervideo.com/#/search/mediadetail?mediaId=0a4bd13b-917e-4081-9bcf-ed85c710b04b&mediaType=Title&contentLocation=search) ![Screenshot 2024-03-18 at 14.54.44.png](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-731144130fab1dfa.png) [View related content](https://app.univervideo.com/#/search/mediadetail?mediaId=0a4bd13b-917e-4081-9bcf-ed85c710b04b&mediaType=Title&contentLocation=search) ![Screenshot 2024-03-18 at 14.55.19.png](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-4729cabb0585de86.png) [View related content](https://app.univervideo.com/#/search/mediadetail?mediaId=0a4bd13b-917e-4081-9bcf-ed85c710b04b&mediaType=Title&contentLocation=search) ### **Where can you watch the film Campeão?** The film Campeão is part of Univer Vídeo's more than 10 thousand hours of Christian content and is an excellent choice to watch with your family.
