A practical guide to the new Univer Vídeo

Ever since Univer Experience, everyone has been waiting for this moment, and it has arrived. Univer Vídeo has a new look, completely redesigned to improve the way you watch quality content.

With major premieres arriving all the time, of course we would give technology special attention, and our subscribers' suggestions have been heard.

As with anything new, questions and difficulties may arise when using the new Univer Vídeo. To help you, here is a guide to the biggest changes and how to update your app.

With the new Univer Vídeo, you have:

  • A “continue watching” feature;
  • Well-organized series;
  • A “my list” option;
  • Personalized profiles;
  • Parental controls.

CONTINUE WATCHING

No more having to write down where you stopped. With the update, you only need to go to the “continue watching” tab and select the content, which will give you the option to resume.

Remember that you can choose to continue watching or start over. On Univer Vídeo, you are in charge.

ORGANIZATION OF SERIES

Remember searching for a series and finding its seasons separately? In the new app, that is over. Now you select the series, and all its seasons will be inside its tab, so you do not need to search again.

MY LIST

When you see a film, series or service you want to remember to watch later, simply click the “my list” button to save it and watch whenever you want.

PERSONALIZED PROFILES

Many users were bothered when they were watching and the person sharing their Univer Vídeo account was using it too. That is why the update introduces individual profiles.

You can share Univer Vídeo with a relative or friend, and each person can have their own section. And the best part? You can personalize it with a picture of your favorite character.

PARENTAL CONTROLS

Univer Vídeo already cares deeply about what you watch while children are in the room, so we have a strict curation team to ensure that values and decency come first.

With the new update, if there is content that little ones are not yet mature enough to watch, a password option will be available to help protect them.

FOR SMART TVs

If your TV supports the update, go to your Smart TV's app store, search for “Univer Vídeo” and download it.

Unfortunately, LG and Samsung TVs do not yet have the Univer app. But do not worry: this is temporary, and soon we will have a new, modern app so you can enjoy the new features on your TV.

Once the app is installed, you can open it, sign in to your account and enjoy content that does you good.

ON APPLE TV

If you have Apple TV and would like to watch Univer Vídeo on it, you will follow steps very similar to those for a Smart TV.

  • Open the App Store;
  • Search for “Univer Vídeo” in the app search;
  • Press “Get” to download;
  • Once installed, simply open it to access it.

ON AMAZON FIRE TV STICK

This is also a recent addition to Univer Vídeo. It is now available if you do not have a Smart TV but use an Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Keep in mind that to download apps on Amazon Fire TV Stick, you need to have registered your CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer number).

To register it, simply:

  • Go to “your account”;
  • Select “login and security settings”;
  • Add your CPF.

With your CPF added, you can download the Univer Vídeo app in three simple steps:

  • Open the Amazon store on the device.
  • Search for “Univer Vídeo” and download it.
  • With the app installed, you can enjoy Univer Vídeo.

UNIVER VÍDEO ON ANDROID TV

If you use Android TV and want to download the app, follow these very easy steps to download it quickly.

  • On Android TV, look for the Play Store among the apps;
  • In the Play Store, go to the search magnifying glass and search for “Univer Vídeo”;
  • Once you find it, select it to download;
  • After installation, select “open,” and that's it.

I DO NOT HAVE A UNIVER VÍDEO ACCOUNT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

To subscribe to Univer Vídeo and access more than 10,000 hours of films, series, dramas, podcasts, talks and services, click here.

The first step in registering is to enter the email address you use and the password you will use to sign in. In the second step, enter your first and last name.

In the third step, you can view the subscription plan options and choose the one that makes the most sense for you and your family.

After choosing a plan, you will go to the fourth step: choosing a payment method and making the payment. We currently offer payment by credit card and boleto.

If you choose a credit card, enter your card details in the fields provided by the app.

If you choose a boleto, enter the requested information and generate the boleto code to pay digitally, or the payment slip to print and pay in person.

Once payment is made, you will be taken to the fifth and final screen, meaning your plan is active and you can start watching.
