### General information

###

Jeremias - Coleção Bíblia Sagrada tells the story of the prophet Jeremiah, who played a crucial role in the prophetic tradition of the Old Testament. Jeremiah emerged as one of the great Hebrew prophets during a period in Israel's history.

His message centered on the need for spiritual and moral reform, warning of Jerusalem's imminent destruction if the people did not turn to God.

Jeremiah's life was marked by challenges and suffering. Called by God from an early age, he faced resistance and hostility as he delivered unpopular messages.

His personal experience reflects the intensity of his mission, expressed in his words.

In the film Jeremias - Coleções Bíblicas, he warns against idolatry, social corruption, and false confidence in the temple's safety. The fall of Jerusalem and the subsequent Babylonian exile were foretold by Jeremiah, who, despite his gloomy predictions, offered hope amid desolation.

Jeremiah is also known for his dramatic symbolism, such as the episode of the potter's vessel, representing the relationship between God and Israel.

Jeremiah remains an example of faithfulness to Divine principles, even in adversity, inspiring later generations to seek a righteous and godly life.
