Send a message to the family group, pop some popcorn and invite everyone to share this moment—because nothing beats enjoying free time with **stories that teach, inspire and uplift.**

With that in mind, we have gathered 3 special releases that are the right choice to watch on Univer this holiday 🤩

**✝️ A Paixão de Cristo**

One of humanity's best-**known** stories, portrayed in an intense and profound way. Directed by Mel Gibson, the film reveals the Lord Jesus' final moments, showing a Love that **does not retreat**, even in the face of **pain**.

Our Savior's story was marked by countless miracles and **innumerable sacrifices**, which are vividly portrayed in the plot. The narrative follows **His betrayal** by Judas Iscariot, His **suffering** during the scourging and, above all, the pain of seeing Our King **crucified for our sins**.

And it is precisely in this pain that A Paixão de Cristo reveals the true **meaning of Love**. Every affliction the Lord Jesus endured was not in vain but filled with **purpose**. He bore the **crown of thorns** so that one day we might receive the **Crown of Life**. His sacrifice not only marked history, but **transformed** lives.

In light of this, if He endured **everything** out of Love for us, how far are we willing to go **for Him**?

**📚 A Menina que Roubava Livros**

Set in **Germany during World War II**, the film follows young Liesel who, having **lost her family**, goes to a new home where she must learn to deal with the **pain** of loss and the **chaos** of a world where extremist politics **glorify war** and **ideological manipulation**.

Amid many conflicts, however, the **innocent** girl finds the **affection and kindness** of Hans Hubermann—a foster father who balances the era's **harshness** with the \*sweetness\* of his accordion and **consideration for others**—and in Max and Rudy, essential **friends** who make her journey **lighter**. The film follows Liesel learning to **read**, **overcome grief** and refuse to bow to the **German persecution of Jews**.

Narrated by Death itself, with a **poetic and melancholic** view of life, its **end** and **human nature**, the plot tells a paradox: our capacity to commit **atrocities** and, at the same time, offer gestures of **sublime love**. From **secrets** kept in the basement that put the family's lives at stake to **books** that provide **escapism**, the story is a sensitive invitation to reflect on what we are doing with the **“interval”** of our lives and how our **individual choices** define who we are, even in the **darkest** times.

**⚓ Homens de Honra**

Based on a **true story**, set in the United States in the 1950s, when **racism** remained **structural and explicit**, Homens de Honra follows Carl Brashear's journey. Born into a **humble** family, he joins the **Navy** carrying the dream of becoming a **diver**—a goal considered **unattainable** for a **Black** man at that time.

Initially relegated to the role of **cook**, Carl faces not just the challenges of rigorous **military training**, but also a deeply **hostile** environment marked by **segregation and contempt**.

Entering diving school, he encounters the **strict instructor** Leslie Sunday, whose unyielding stance reflects both **military discipline** and the tensions of a society marked by **prejudice**. Amid **extreme tests and constant** attempts to undermine him, Brashear must prove repeatedly that his ability goes **beyond** any **imposed label**.

More than a story of **overcoming adversity**, the film **firmly** exposes the invisible barriers that attempt to limit **how far** someone can go.
