Have you ever had to grab the remote to skip an inappropriate scene while watching something with your kids? Or felt uneasy handing the tablet to your children without knowing what would come up next on the screen?

Protecting what little ones watch has become one of the main concerns for families. That is why the new Univer Vídeo strengthened one of its core commitments: to be safe streaming for kids and for the whole family. Among the new features in this version are a redesigned Kids Mode and PIN parental controls. Below, you will learn how each feature works and how to turn them on in just a few minutes.

What is Univer Vídeo Kids Mode

Kids Mode is a space dedicated to children inside your account. It brings together Bible cartoons, educational series and films that teach moral and Christian principles, kept separate from the platform's general catalog.

When you open the Kids Profile, the interface switches to an intuitive, colorful look designed so children can browse on their own. There you will find titles such as Superbook, Os VegeTais, Leão de Judá, Bosque das Descobertas and Turminha da Fé.

What your family will find in the kids catalog

  • Bible cartoons and animations: classic stories from Scripture, told in playful language with modern visuals.
  • Character and values: productions that teach about obeying parents, truth, friendship, faith and respect.
  • A space free of commercial distractions: in the Kids Profile, children won't find toy ads, commercial content or videos with double-meaning jokes.

How PIN parental controls work

To keep children from leaving Kids Mode by accident and reaching the general catalog, with series and soap operas made for adults, the new Univer Vídeo offers a parental PIN. It is a 4-digit code created by the parent or guardian.

In Kids Mode, children browse on their own in a space made just for them

With the PIN turned on, children can browse and press play only inside the kids space. Opening a protected profile or changing settings requires the code. Each profile can also have a maximum age rating, so the family decides what each person can watch.

That gives you more peace of mind when handing the phone, tablet or Smart TV to the little ones. Technology helps, but a parent's presence is still the best protection: it is worth keeping an eye on what children watch.

Why choose a family-focused streaming service

Not all children's content out there matches the values you teach at home. On Univer Vídeo, every title goes through a curation process that puts Christian principles and children's well-being first. The result is uplifting entertainment, with no awkward moments in the living room.

Step by step: how to turn on Kids Mode and the PIN in the new app

  1. Update the app: make sure the Univer Vídeo app is up to date in your device's official store (Google Play, App Store or your Smart TV's app store). On a computer, go to univervideo.com.
  2. Create the Kids Profile: on the "Who's watching?" screen, tap "+ Create profile", choose an avatar and type the child's name.
  3. Turn on kids mode: while creating the profile, turn on kids mode and, if you wish, set the maximum age rating.
  4. Protect the adult profiles: on the profiles the child should not access, turn on PIN protection and create a 4-digit code.
  5. Finish: tap "Create" to save. That's it: safe browsing is on.
