Especially in Brazil, Christmas is widely celebrated, as you can easily see in homes, shops, shopping centers and restaurants… There are twinkling lights, dancing Santas and trees all over the city. But Christians always have a question: Can I celebrate Christmas? If we mean Christmas as a celebration of Christ's birthday, I need to tell you: we will never know when Jesus was born. ### **The birth of Jesus?** The studies are debatable and uncertain; dates are not precise, and various historians have different opinions and different dates. And another point: Jesus does not need you to celebrate His “birthday” on December 25 and deny Him every other day of the year. ![The birth of Jesus](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-2eb2f0c60bb12614.jpg) When thinking of celebrating Jesus's birth, ask yourself: “How can I honor His coming to earth to save me every day?” This will change your perspective on Christmas. Perhaps you do not even like (or care about) celebrating Christmas as Jesus's birthday, but enjoy its commercial side: exchanging gifts, a plentiful table, the whole family together, music, laughter and so many moments we spend the year waiting for, right? But think like a true Christian: What might Jesus expect of you this Christmas? At this time of year, people are sensitive and reflective, reviewing all the good and bad things they did throughout the year. Those far from family feel lonely and vulnerable, and many other feelings surface. This is the perfect moment for you, as a Christian, to tell people about Jesus. Not the boy born in the manger, but the Savior who gave His life for everyone's sins. Use your neighbor's openness to bring them the solution. Do not let another Christmas pass without bringing the Word of God to the people always around you, showing the suffering they experience. ![pablo-merchan-montes-wYOPqmtDD0w-unsplash.jpg](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-420d818354676954.jpg) When your family gathers for Christmas dinner, instead of putting Christmas films on TV with fanciful promises about a man who will bring presents, why not talk about a Savior who gave His own life to save humanity from eternal suffering? And when it comes to quality content, Univer Vídeo is an expert. ### **Univer Vídeo content to watch with your family at Christmas** ![Dudu Azevedo in the telenovela Jesus](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-2ad1a979eaf4f4c4.jpg) Through Univer Vídeo, you can share the gospel with family and friends this Christmas. We recently made the complete Jesus telenovela available on the platform, recounting His story from before His birth. In rich detail, you will also get to know the people around Jesus when He came, from His disciples to His family. But if you prefer to watch only those important excerpts of the telenovela featuring Jesus's miracles and deeds, you can search for “Cenas Bíblicas - Novela Jesus.” With six seasons and episodes averaging 2 to 6 minutes, you learn about: - The first steps; - The miracles; - The parables; - Jesus and the people around Him; - Conversations with His disciples and preparation for His second coming; - Jesus's afflictions before His death. You also have various options to watch with your family at Christmas about where Jesus lived, the Holy Land. ![blog-conhecendo-israel-nos-passos-jesus.jpg](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-4f8e8335ed42be51.jpg) Speaking of the Holy Land… the documentary Israel - Nos Passos de Jesus will immerse you in the places Jesus visited. Nos Passos de Jesus shows where Jesus went, archaeological evidence from that time and detailed explanations of important verses about the Savior's life. There is an extensive explanation about the desert, for example: what Jesus experienced during those 40 days in the desert, what the desert means and what we can also learn from it. Another powerful teaching is the documentary's explanation of the cup. > ***"My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me" Matthew 26:39*** The cup also had an explanation: He referred to the cup of sacrifice. We will not give *spoilers* about what is in Nos Passos de Jesus. In Conhecendo Israel, you will also journey in Jesus's footsteps (and those of other heroes of faith) in the Holy Land. With Josi Boccoli, you will learn each place's spiritual perspective, which is also perfect for your TV during the Christmas holiday. Josi will take you to see important Holy Land sites, such as the palace where David lived and the places Jesus visited. ### **There is room for everyone on Univer Vídeo** Without wanting to sound biased, I need to tell you: Univer Vídeo is the best *streaming* service you could have at Christmas. 100% family-friendly, you do not even need to worry about putting on a film and children seeing unwanted, explicit scenes.
