Everything you need to know about the new season of Reis: the divided kingdom, Rehoboam and Jeroboam, conflicts, faith and where to watch.

After experiencing beautiful proverbs, the reign of a king whose wisdom has never been matched, great achievements and a thousand wives, Solomon's story comes to an end, moving the series' fans and opening the door to the eleventh season of Reis.

After allowing himself to be led astray by his foreign wives, Solomon is severely punished by God. See 1 Kings 11:11-13:

“So the Lord said to Solomon: Because this has happened with you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I commanded you, I will surely tear this kingdom away from you and give it to your servant. Yet I will not do it in your lifetime, for the sake of David your father; I will tear it out of your son's hand. But I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”

And everything the Lord told Solomon will now be reflected in A Divisão, during Rehoboam's reign.

What happens in the eleventh season of Reis?

From the verses above, you can understand that, because of Solomon's irreverence toward God's commandments, Rehoboam will pay the price for his father.

The eleventh season of Reis will begin with chaos in Israel as the plans of the kingdom's enemies begin to take shape. With the kingdom divided, Rehoboam will have the right to rule only the tribe of Judah, but it will not be easy for the new king.

Details from the official teaser for the eleventh season of Reis

With the official teaser for the eleventh season of Reis already released, some relevant details may have escaped your notice:

  • Jeroboam vs. Rehoboam;
  • Blood and violence;
  • Rehoboam wanting to do what is right;
  • Maacah pregnant;
  • Shishak and Jeroboam;
  • Various gods in Israel;

Jeroboam vs. Rehoboam

One thing was clear in the teaser: Rehoboam will not be well received by the people, while Jeroboam's speeches will sound like music to Israel's ears.

In the very first seconds, Zabud, Solomon's adviser, says that being the natural heir was not enough: Rehoboam would need to be accepted by the people, something never said during the other reigns. Seconds later, Rehoboam proclaims loudly and clearly that he is David's heir while a rebellion unfolds.

Meanwhile, Jeroboam is acclaimed by the people, who feel represented by a new ruler's speeches.

Considering that much of the population had already lost its way during Solomon's reign, there was natural resistance to the prince of Israel.

With a new ruler who speaks beautiful, hopeful words, it is easy to know whom the people will support in the eleventh season of Reis, isn't it?! This still happens today…

Blood and violence in the series Reis

After a reign of peace promised to David by God Himself, the official teaser makes it clear that there will be much blood, violence and rebellion. A man, stoned and bloodied, briefly appears. Could this be a new enemy or an important character in the eleventh season of Reis?

Rehoboam wanting to do what is right

At the end of the previous season, we can already see that Rehoboam was inclined toward the desires of the flesh. He committed adultery with Maacah, began harboring anger toward his father again and went to Geshur, a people who did not share Israel's faith.

But at the beginning of the eleventh season of Reis, Rehoboam will have a moment when he repents of all this and wants to do what is right. Soon afterward, however, a bombshell lands in his lap with just one statement from Maacah.

Maacah in the series Reis

Absalom's daughter has already shown that she will be a major stumbling block for Rehoboam. But it is in the eleventh season of Reis that she announces a not-so-welcome pregnancy (oops, sorry for the spoiler).

Clearly, this will not be cause for jumping for joy in the palace, as we can already see Mahalath physically attacking Maacah. Will Rehoboam be like his father and have several wives, or will he be content with two?

Shishak and Jeroboam

One is already terrible; two guarantee trouble. Mark your calendar: Shishak and Jeroboam will cause plenty of trouble in the eleventh season of Reis.

Little was shown of them together in the teaser, but the Bible already contains major spoilers about what will happen…

Various gods in Israel

And of course… Israel will once again betray God, who supplied all the people's needs, with gods and goddesses that only lead them to rock bottom.

Priestesses of Asherah, golden calves and evil rituals will be part of the eleventh season of Reis. Sadly, the chosen people will once again perish at the hands of evil leaders.
