Ben-Hur is a longstanding epic that began as a book and over the years gained film adaptations too. But… making the wait for 2026 even harder, the new Ben-Hur series is already creating a buzz.

Although it is not a biblical narrative, Ben-Hur includes passages from Scripture: almost in parallel with all the twists and surprises in the protagonist's journey, we will also follow Jesus' life—starting with the final episode of "A Vida de Jó".

And if there was one thing no one imagined, it was that the two stories would be connected somehow, but we have already met some very important characters from the new series, such as:

**Balthazar, one of the three wise men.**

**Mary, the virgin chosen to give birth to Jesus.**

**And Ithamar, Ben-Hur's father.**

**As well as a certain Roman officer you should make sure not to forget…**

We also saw that the situation in Jerusalem has moved beyond “unstable,” and the entire political and social context between the Jewish people and Rome is more intense than ever.

Ben-Hur may be a story you already know, but one thing we can guarantee is that it will be told in a way you have never seen—ready or not, 2026 is coming!
