The gospel is being threatened and ridiculed in Brazil. Recently, a POP singer's concert in Rio de Janeiro, which promoted rituals and mockery of faith, sparked an overwhelming wave of attacks on Christians. See just one of hundreds of comments:

According to a survey conducted by the Ipsos Institute in 26 countries, 70% of Brazil's population identifies with Christianity.

Yet in the face of mockery of their faith, many have not raised their voices and are not making themselves heard. Brazil is a secular state: there is no official religion in the country, and everyone can choose to follow the faith they wish.

However, Christian faith is constantly portrayed disparagingly by celebrities and anonymous people, without even a chance to defend it, as happened at the pop singer's recent concert in Rio de Janeiro, broadcast live by a television network.

And even while living in a secular state, where freedom of worship is guaranteed by the constitution, many people still feel intimidated or even afraid to speak out.

Senegal - A Fé Primitiva

But while attacks on Christians can be found in Brazil and are mostly limited to internet comments, on another continent there are people who must pay with their lives to live out their faith in Jesus. People who were expelled from home, who faced persecution, beatings and pain simply for professing faith in Jesus.
