Job's story is as mysterious as it is intriguing, profound and popular. In the book bearing his name, the absence of any mention of his origins, how he came to know God or even the exact location of Uz leaves us only with: *"There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; this man was blameless, upright and God-fearing, and shunned evil."* Job 1:1

But the name "Job" also appears in Genesis 46:13: *"And the sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, **Job** and Shimron."* As a descendant of Jacob, Job's youth gains a whole context, filling the main gaps concerning his family and personal roots—and this was the path chosen. There is also an interesting detail in the names of two friends mentioned in Job 2:11, revealed by writer Cristiane Cardoso:

> "The names of Job's friends also have roots in Abraham's descendants: Eliphaz was a descendant of Esau, and Bildad was one of Abraham's sons with Keturah."
