Across 50 episodes, the major production *Paulo, o Apóstolo* draws primarily on biblical records left by Paul and some of those who witnessed events firsthand. It will also explore historical accounts covering everything from the culture of the time to its principal influential figures, all belonging to Rome, as fearsome as it was controversial.

***Nero*** is one of the emperors we will see in the series. Full of ideas, talents and family conflicts, his name is associated with words such as intense, peculiar and... fire. But here is a spoiler: we will meet him before his rise to the throne, on the very day he meets a certain person who will become the principal motivation behind many of his decisions — and his pain.

***Agrippina*** is our future emperor's mother. A member of the first Roman imperial dynasty, begun by Augustus, her actions live up to the treacherous, cruel and seductive reputation of the nation she tried to rule at any cost.

***Claudius***, besides being emperor, is Agrippina's (third) husband — no, Nero is not his biological son. Coming from a troubled and controversial past with his former wife, the only things he kept from his marriage to Messalina were his two children: Britannicus and Octavia.

***Britannicus*** is the legitimate heir to the imperial throne, but his father did not choose him to take on that role. Like his adoptive brother, he is one of the victims who suffer in the game of power. Another thing he shares with Nero, however, is talent. Will that bring them together or drive them apart? 👀

***Octavia*** is Britannicus's older sister and the future empress of Rome — yes, alongside Nero. And speaking of being on the side, that is exactly where she will remain in our eccentric ruler's life. As for the reason... I am not telling!

***Poppaea*** is the embodiment of wickedness, manipulation and ill intent. With that list of qualities, she could hardly aspire to any position other than empress of Rome. (Nero had better watch out!)
