Young and inexperienced, he takes on the responsibility of reigning in place of his father, the respected and admired King David. Amid grief and the difficulty of adapting to his new reality, old and new threats emerge where Solomon least expects them. While he worries about keeping danger outside Jerusalem, he does not suspect that what can harm him most lies within the palace walls, and that once again those who should have his trust will be the first to rebel against him. As if that were not enough, the new king must deal with the fact that the woman he loves and married has abandoned him, taking his son with her and leaving him to face every adversity alone. His only remaining support therefore comes from Benaiah, his faithful commander; his mother, Bathsheba; and Abishag, the young concubine his father entrusted to him to care for and make his wife. ![Solomon, Chimham and Zabud — 4](https://blog.univervideo.com/imagens/strapi-ad78d846d33aee7c.jpg) The compelling plot will also introduce us to a dangerous adversary who will ally himself with Egypt, with new plans for both the Israelite nation and Solomon's love life.
