In the end times, men will claim to be the Christ and many will be deceived

A prominent example is in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, where a 30-year-old man claims to be Jesus. You may think no one believed him, but you would be mistaken.

Many believed his “identity,” approached him and said that the man “has a serene, angelic gaze” and that “his speech conveys peace, as he speaks very slowly.”

In Brazil, Inri Cristo emerged, a man (currently 75 years old) who says he is Jesus Christ reincarnated. He is well known for giving many interviews and even appearing on comedy programs, always wearing white robes.

Inri lives in a rural settlement in Gama (Federal District), together with his devoted female followers. Yes, you heard correctly: his devoted female followers!

To live with and follow Inri Cristo, they had to give up everything: work, family, sex lives, even their own opinions and clothing choices, since to continue living there, he dictates what they eat, wear, think and even how they clean themselves after using the bathroom.

From this topic alone, you can already understand that the first sign of the end times is very clear and happening today.

### Wars and rumors of wars

In February 2022, Russia's president invaded Ukraine after various political conflicts and threatened unimaginable consequences if there were outside interference.

The war in Ukraine is still ongoing, more than a year after it began, and has moved into the Black Sea, where maritime warfare is taking place between the two nations (confirming the end-times prophecy about nations rising against nations).

Hundreds of other wars have taken place to show that the end times are approaching: the Syrian war, the First and Second World Wars, the war in Afghanistan, the Russian Civil War and so many others have accumulated death and destruction in world history.

But this happening today is no surprise, because the Lord Jesus had already warned of the signs of His return and the end times.

### Famine in the end times

The causes may vary—political, economic, structural or climatic—but the result is the same: hunger occurring in many countries around the world.

But do not think this sign of the end times is seen only in Africa. Syria and Yemen are among the countries with the highest hunger levels.

### Pestilence in the end times

Regarding the world's pestilences in the end times, it is easy to remember COVID-19, which terrified the entire world and left even the largest, busiest tourist attractions empty.

During the “stay at home” period, there was fear and dread about the future, markets emptied as people stocked up, no hugs or handshakes, and smiles hidden beneath masks.

The entire world mourned the deaths of family members, especially older people, who succumbed to a terrible pandemic.

If you think the end times were marked by COVID-19, you are mistaken. Long before the latest pandemic, there had already been bubonic plague, Spanish flu, the Black Death and so many others that took thousands of lives.

### Earthquakes in the end times

Whether of low or high magnitude, earthquakes are happening almost daily somewhere in the world.

In September 2023, Morocco suffered a magnitude 6.8 earthquake, the country's deadliest in six decades. The death toll exceeds 2,800, but rescue teams are still searching for survivors beneath the rubble.

In the ranking of the world's largest earthquakes, Chile (magnitude 9.5), Japan (magnitude 9) and Indonesia (magnitude 9.1) are among the countries that suffered most from the catastrophe.

After everything you have read, it seems frightening to think about, doesn't it? But Jesus said this was only the beginning of the sorrows of the end times.

### They will be tormented and killed for Jesus' Name

Synonyms for tormented include afflicted, anguished and persecuted. That is what will happen to those who choose to follow Jesus and do not deny their faith in the end times.

Everything we see is still little compared with what will happen. And it will not end with torment, for many will be killed for their love of Jesus.

In countries such as North Korea and Somalia, this is already a reality. For example, if a Christian is discovered by the authorities in North Korea, they will be arrested and sent to a forced labor camp, where they live in cruel conditions, or killed on the spot.

We do not see this happening frequently in Brazil, but Jesus already told the disciples it would happen in the end times, so we must be prepared for what is to come.

### Many will be offended

How many people are inside the church, even holding a position of trust before God and responsibility for souls, yet bring scandal to Jesus' name (without thinking of the people who are precious sheep God entrusted to their care), leave, do everything contrary to His teaching and still speak ill of it?

Jesus already knew this would happen in the end times; it is no surprise. Many will be offended by bad examples or someone else's sin.

### They will betray one another

According to the study “Radiografia da Infidelidade e Infiéis no Brasil 2022,” which obtained data through the Gleeden app, 80% of Brazilians cheated on their spouse in 2022.

**Yes, you read that correctly: 80%. Eight out of every ten Brazilians cheated on their partner.**

The (unjustifiable) reasons are varied: lack of sex, attention, physical attraction, disrespect and so many other reasons that led this percentage of people to cheat.

### Love will grow cold

This is one of the most painful signs of the end times to discuss, encompassing many others.

A mother killing her baby, a daughter killing her parents, one brother shooting another, men tying helpless animals inside garbage bags and throwing them away... there are so many events showing how love is growing cold.

**After hearing about the signs of the end times, do you have any doubt about what is to come?**

### The 2030 Agenda and the end times

First, understand that the idea is not to psychologically terrorize you, much less say that Jesus will return in 2030, since He Himself said no one knows the day or hour when it will happen. It is a warning about what is being planned for the coming years, which has everything to do with the end times.

In 2015, 193 UN Member States met at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to establish goals for the world, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With flawless rhetoric, they envisioned something “perfect” in which they would make the world sustainable, with planned actions such as ending poverty, security, advances in health, agriculture, education, gender equality and many other topics discussed.

The idea is for the world to unite to become a better place, without poverty, inequality, violence and so many other current problems. What a dream, isn't it?

However, this is just another diabolical plan to fulfill what has already been written about the end times: that a world leadership would arise with beautiful, peaceful rhetoric about the world and deceive many.

The Bible already makes it clear: the world will not improve; the tendency is for it to worsen more and more. These are the end times and Jesus' return to gather His own.

The Rapture will happen soon, and Jesus will come to gather His Church, which remained clean amid so much filth, purified and sanctified itself, and waited with great expectation every day until the end times.
