Univer Vídeo's appearance on Rede Aleluia brought a conversation packed with news. The Univer Vídeo team visited the radio studio to talk with Bishop Renato Cardoso about what changed in the platform's new version, why you can now watch without subscribing, and the week's two premieres. The full program is in the video below, and here is a recap.

What changed in the new Univer Vídeo

As Univer Vídeo explained on the program, the changes came from subscribers' own requests. The team looked at what people asked for most and added it to the platform:

  • Skip intro: the button so many people wanted for watching series without repeating the opening;
  • Continue watching: content resumes at the exact point where you stopped;
  • Vertical videos: a new format for watching on your phone without rotating the screen;
  • Voice search: say a title's name and it appears;
  • Kids Mode: you configure what your child can watch, such as children's cartoons only;
  • More 24-hour channels and new releases, plus a more attractive, smoother, faster interface.

You can now discover Univer Vídeo without subscribing

This was the news that most caught Bishop Renato Cardoso's attention. Until last week, only subscribers could see what was in the catalog. Now, anyone can visit univervideo.com, browse the full catalog, and, by creating a free account using just an email address, watch a selection of content without paying: messages, services, podcasts, and even an entire series. The rest of the catalog remains exclusive to Premium plans.

Sunday services from the Temple of Solomon open to everyone

One item of free content stood out in the conversation: broadcasts of Sunday services from the Temple of Solomon at 7 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 6 p.m. are now open on univervideo.com to people anywhere in the world. The bishop made a point of explaining whom this is for: people who live far from a church or in a country where it has not yet arrived. For those with a church nearby, nothing replaces being in the house of God.

Univer Vídeo also shared an announcement: a documentary celebrating Univer Vídeo's 10 years is coming, featuring five stories of people in different parts of the world who came to know God through the platform. The details will wait for another conversation.

Two premieres for the weekend

O Céu de Outubro. The film recommendation was Friday's premiere: the true story of Homer Hickam, a boy in a mining town who sees Sputnik crossing the sky in 1957 and decides to build his own rocket. Bishop Renato said he watched it and recommended it as "the kind of film that makes you reassess how you have been using your energy and talent." The full synopsis and photos are in the post O Céu de Outubro: film premieres on Univer Vídeo.

Servindo com Carinho. The other premiere is Rosana Silva's cooking show, with a special flavor: besides practical dishes using accessible ingredients, each episode offers a tip for nurturing your spiritual side and better serving those you love. The first episode teaches the basics, rice and beans, and new episodes arrive every Tuesday at 9 a.m. on Univer Vídeo.

In the video's comments, one listener had already returned to say she rushed to watch the film: "I rushed to watch O Céu de Outubro. Really great, it conveys an excellent message."
